Last week, the consequences of DANA affected various municipalities, including the town of Guadassuar (Valencia).
In Guadassuar, there is a very nice and useful NPO association Aguafa, a space dedicated to lovingly and professionally caring for elderly individuals facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Since that Tuesday, people no longer attend their therapies and daily routines, staying at home without the daily stimulation they need. It is proven that dementia progresses more quickly when this highly controlled environment is affected, as occurred during the pandemic. Being able to rebuild this center that has been completely devastated must be a social priority and a small contribution can make it a reality sooner rather than later.
